Bathroom Update - Week Seven

THE WEEK NOTHING HAPPENS IN THE BATHROOM PROJECT

Yup! Nothing to report. Other things going on. We decided not to stress about it.

Warren was asked to be one of the judges for the Polar Bear Plunge down at the Lake of the Ozarks. Some years he's actually participated in the Plunge. Since the weather was so cold on Saturday, he was mighty glad he was just judging.

So he was down at the Lake on Saturday morning instead of working on the bathroom project.

The Polar Bear Plunge is where people volunteer to plunge in the Lake of the Ozarks--whatever the temperature--in the middle of February. Part of what Warren and the guys were doing on the Billboard was promoting the Polar Bear Plunge.

People get pledges from friends and family and then dress up in silly costumes for the Plunge.

Randy Warner, one of the Billboard Campers who shared that whole experience with Warren earlier this week actually participated in half of the SuperPlunger Event. The SuperPlungers went in once an hour for 24 hours. Not THAT is brutal when the air temperature is in the teens and 20s. Yikes!

Randy and Warren hanging out in the houseboat used to help keep Super Plungers warm during the 24-hour event.

Overall, Warren thinks they've probably raised well over $100,000 for Special Olympics. Pretty impressive, don't you think?! Lots of people with big hearts, I would say!

POLAR plunge? The water's not even frozen!

Those have to be some bragging rights to do the polar plunge. Yuck!

Not frozen but just about as close as it comes to frozen. It was in the 20s. Cold even by your standards, I would think, especially if you are in it up to your nasal passages. Ouch!

Special olympics is such a great cause. I know you're proud of Warren for his part in raising all of that money.
